"Undoing an Ageist Divide"

Nov. 17th 2018 - Public presentations were made by several artists selected for the Public Art - Public Action Cohort. As artists we spoke about the work we put forth throughout the summer of 2018 to serve the Tacoma Mall neighborhoods from the local level. "Undoing An Ageist Divide" was a project I set in motion inspired by the close relationship I had with my late great grandmother. In this project I dedicated my energy into engaging with seniors in the Tacoma Mall area, and together our mission was to explore our freedom of expression through artistic means, create a gesture that could resonate with people from all age groups, and share them with the greater Tacoma community.
